Order Gateway is dependent on the settings of Order Manager. Only FIX sessions managed by Order Manager can be added to Order Gateway.
The route toolbar is located at the top of the "Route Settings" tab panel.
Sessions: Press
the button on toolbar to select buy side sessions.
Note only buy side sessions can be routed. Buy side sends the order and order modifications (cancel, replace).
Press the button, a session choose dialog will pop up. User is allowed to choose the buy side sessions managed by gateway. "All" or "None" buttons can be used to select all or unselect all sessions in the list, respectively.
Once the sessions are selected, the sessions will be listed in the panel. Note initially the routing informations are empty. Users are required to configuration destination sell side sessions that the buy side order can be routed to.
Edit: Edit the
routeing table of a buy side session.
Press the "Edit" button on the toolbar. A dialog will pop up for user to configure the routing table settings of the selected buy side session (double the session on the table will perform the same action).
All sell side sessions defined in Order Manager are listed in the left panel. Route to each session can be turned on and off individually. Initially all routes are turned off.
Batch operations can be performed using the drop down menu on the upper left corner of the dialog.
"Enable All Route" will enable all routes. "Disable All Route" will disable all.
Once a route is enabled, some settings will be automatically generated. Usually users don't have to manually modify the settings.
Some times custom settings are requred. We will discuss it in the next chapter.
