For the first time the QWRTAnalyzer is started, some initial set up needs to be performed.
For the first time the QWRTAnalyzer is started, an "Options" dialog will pop up.
Working Directory:
The working directory is used to store temporary working files, such as intra-day FIX message communications from remote processes, or intra-day event logs/alerts from remote processes.
The working directory must be located on a hard drive with reasonably good performance. Remote shared drives are not recommended before they are generally slower than local hard drives.
The current user account must have full access priveledge to the directory specified.
Large amount of data may be written to the directory. Please make sure the directory has enough free disk space.
User may need to periodically clean up the working directory by deleting all files and directories under it.
FIX Message Cache:
QWFIX implements very efficient FIX message cache. The cache is not only used in the production processes, but also in the remote management tools such as RTAnalyzer.
QWFIX RTAnalyzer can synchronize the full intra-day FIX message communications from more than one processes in real-time. In that case, depending on the size of the organization and the capacity of the intra-day communication, the hardware the RTAnalyzer is running on should have enough physical memory to efficiently manage the business logics.
The message cache size can be customized either by number of messages or by memory size. The memory size option is recommended because it's more accurate.
It is recommended to use half of the physical memory size as the size of the FIX message cache, assuming the machine is dedicated for RTAnalyzer usage.

Remote Log Type Search Directory List:
The type search folder list option is reserved for future use. Currently RTAnalyzer will work just find with the empty list.

In the future if the options need to be reset, select "Tools" -> "Options" from the main menu.
